New 3/8" Sander - Good for CNC work

The shop has placed a Makita belt sander (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000614UT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) in its inventory that will be good for sanding those pesky tabs that may be a part of your CNC project. It is particularly good because it can get into small areas due to its 3/8" belt width. Take a look at the tool in the link above.

Crosscut Sled for Use with Our Incra Jig

The shop just purchased a sled for use with the Incra Jig that we already own. An Incra Jig allows you to make very precise cuts on a table saw at any angle. The problem with the Incra Jig is that it lacks any kind of hold down for the piece you are trying to cut.

The Incra Miter Express is a sled type jig that 'captures' the Incra Miter Gauge and incorporates a hold down to secure your workpiece.

When using this jig, do NOT make any adjustments to the fence position, other than it's angle of cut or you will run the risk of contacting the saw blade with the fence itself. As this jig will be used on one of our SawStop table saws, fence contact with the blade will cost you several hundred dollars to replace the activateed blade brake.
